§1. General provisions
- These Terms of Use govern the use of the DartsCareer.pl website, available at https://dartscareer.pl, including the browser game that simulates the career of a professional darts player.
- DartsCareer.pl (the “Website” or “Game”) is an independent browser game project made available free of charge and developed by an individual who is not currently operating the project as part of a registered business.
- The creator and operator of the Website (the “Operator”) is Wiktor Langowski.
- The Operator can be contacted by email at dartscareer@gmail.com.
- The basic features of the Game are free to use and do not require a user account.
- These Terms of Use are made available on the Website free of charge in a form that allows users to read, save and reproduce their content.
- Matters not covered by these Terms of Use are governed by the relevant provisions of applicable law, to the extent that they apply to the Website and the nature of its activities.
§2. Nature and scope of the Website
- DartsCareer.pl is a browser simulation game that allows users to pursue a virtual career as a professional darts player.
- The Website offers users, in particular, the following features:
- creating and managing a player's career;
- participating in simulated tournaments and competitions;
- developing skills and managing a career;
- simulating matches and watching them unfold, including in the available graphical modes;
- viewing rankings, statistics and information about the game world;
- using editors for players, tournaments and other elements of gameplay;
- creating, importing and using compatible modifications;
- saving, exporting and importing game progress.
- The range of available features may change as the project develops, receives updates and adapts to technical capabilities.
- The Game is intended for entertainment and simulation. Its results, rankings, events and career progression are part of virtual gameplay and should not be equated with real sporting events.
- DartsCareer.pl is not a gambling game. Participation in virtual tournaments does not involve placing monetary bets or the possibility of receiving monetary winnings.
- The Website is not an official product of any darts organisation, sports federation, equipment manufacturer or professional player, unless a specific, actual partnership is expressly identified.
§3. Technical requirements
- Use of the Website requires a device capable of browsing websites, an Internet connection and a browser that supports the technologies used by the Game.
- Users are advised to use up-to-date versions of popular web browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari or Vivaldi.
- Some features may require the following to function correctly:
- JavaScript enabled;
- access to local browser storage, including IndexedDB;
- support for graphics technologies such as WebGL;
- adequate processor, memory and graphics performance;
- support for audio and other technologies used by the browser.
- Some features, particularly 3D match views, animations and extensive simulations, may have limited performance on older devices.
- The Operator does not guarantee that all features will work identically on every device, operating system or browser.
- Users should take responsibility for keeping their devices and software up to date and secure.
§4. Starting and ending use of the Game
- Use of the basic features of the Game does not require registration or entering into a separate written agreement.
- Users may begin using the Game by opening the Website and starting the available features.
- To the extent that use of the Website constitutes the provision of services by electronic means, the service is made available for the duration of the use of the relevant features.
- Users may end their current session at any time by closing the page or browser.
- Ending a session does not automatically delete locally stored career data or settings.
- Users may manage data stored on their devices using the Game's features and their browser's tools.
- Reopening the Website allows users to start a new session or continue a saved career, provided that the relevant data remains available and compatible with the current version of the Game.
§5. Rules for using the Website
- Users must use the Website in accordance with applicable law, these Terms of Use and information system security principles.
- Actions intended to disrupt the operation of the Website, its infrastructure or other users are prohibited, particularly attacks, introducing malicious software or gaining unauthorised access to systems.
- Using the Website to distribute unlawful content, content that infringes third-party rights or content containing malicious software is prohibited.
- Use of the available editors, modifications and game save files is permitted in accordance with these Terms of Use and applicable law.
- Independently modifying local career data for personal gameplay is not prohibited, provided that it does not infringe the law, the Website's infrastructure or third-party rights.
- The Operator may take appropriate and proportionate technical measures to counter threats to the security and proper operation of the Website, in accordance with applicable law.
§6. Career saves and data storage
- DartsCareer.pl uses local data storage mechanisms available in the user's web browser, particularly IndexedDB.
- Browser storage may hold, among other things, career progress, settings, information about players, tournaments and modifications, and selected media files.
- Career saves are not automatically stored in individual user accounts in a central database maintained by the Operator.
- Users should regularly back up their data using the available game save export features.
- Data may be lost, in particular, as a result of:
- deleting site data or browser storage;
- device or software failure;
- using the browser's private browsing mode;
- software that clears device storage;
- save file corruption;
- incompatibility of data with a particular version of the Game.
- The Operator endeavours to ensure that career saving and loading mechanisms work correctly but does not guarantee the ability to recover data for which the Operator has no copy.
- Since standard career saves are stored locally on the user's device, the Operator may have no technical means of restoring lost progress.
- Game updates may affect save formats and the compatibility of older data. The Operator aims to preserve compatibility where technically possible.
- The provisions of this section do not exclude or limit the Operator's liability where such liability arises under mandatory provisions of law.
§7. Game editors and modifications
- DartsCareer.pl may allow users to create and edit players, tournaments, competitions and other elements of the Game.
- The Website may support the import and use of user-created modifications, particularly those containing modified player data, visual elements or other resources compatible with the Game.
- Modifications are used subject to their technical compatibility with the current version of the Game.
- Users of third-party modifications should exercise caution, particularly when downloading files from unknown sources.
- The Operator does not guarantee that all modifications will work correctly, particularly those developed by parties unrelated to the project.
- The Operator supports the community that creates modifications for DartsCareer.pl. Users may create and use modifications that adapt the Game's content to their preferences.
- Modifications may be created both for personal use and for sharing with other users, subject to applicable law and third-party rights.
- Modifications developed and distributed independently by the community do not constitute official DartsCareer.pl content unless the Operator expressly states otherwise. Their availability does not imply a partnership or affiliation between the Operator and the players, organisations or brands depicted in them.
- Users who publicly distribute modifications should take account of copyright, image rights, trademarks and other third-party rights to the extent applicable to the materials used. This applies particularly to photographs, graphics, logos and recordings.
- Merely using players' real names or creating a modification that recreates the world of professional darts does not mean that the modification is official, licensed or approved by the individuals and entities depicted in it. The ability to import such materials into the Game does not confirm that the rights to redistribute them have been obtained.
- Users retain the rights they hold in materials they have created themselves. Merely creating or importing a modification into DartsCareer.pl does not transfer those rights to the Operator.
§8. Copyright and intellectual property
- DartsCareer.pl, including its original graphics, interface, project name, materials and other works, is protected in accordance with applicable law.
- Rights in individual elements of the Website belong to their respective rights holders, including the Operator or third parties, depending on the origin of the material and its licensing terms.
- Ordinary use of the Game does not transfer economic copyright in its content to the user.
- Access to the project's public repository, if one is made available, does not automatically grant permission to use code or resources in any manner. The scope of permitted use is determined by the relevant licences and applicable law.
- Users may use the Game's content for gameplay purposes in accordance with these Terms of Use and the relevant licences.
- Copying, modifying, distributing or otherwise using materials may require the rights holder's consent unless such use is permitted by law or by the relevant licence.
- Use of names, signs or materials relating to real organisations, manufacturers or individuals should not suggest an official partnership, endorsement or authorisation that does not exist.
- Matters concerning potential infringements of copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights may be reported to the Operator at dartscareer@gmail.com.
§9. Game updates and availability
- DartsCareer.pl is developed and updated as technical and organisational resources permit.
- The Operator may introduce new features, bug fixes, interface changes, simulation updates and performance improvements.
- As the project develops, some elements of gameplay may be changed, replaced or withdrawn, with due regard to applicable law and users' rights.
- The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted, round-the-clock availability of the Website or entirely error-free software.
- Interruptions may arise particularly from technical work, infrastructure failures, network problems or events beyond the Operator's control.
- Important update information may be published on the Website, in the changelog or through the project's official social channels.
- If closure of the Website is planned, the Operator will endeavour to inform users sufficiently in advance where possible.
- These provisions do not exclude obligations concerning the availability, updating or contractual conformity of a digital service where such obligations apply under applicable law.
§10. Free access, advertising and project support
- DartsCareer.pl is made available to users without mandatory charges for its basic features.
- Users may voluntarily support the project's development through external platforms, particularly Buy Me a Coffee.
- Voluntary support is not a mandatory fee for using the Game. Any additional benefits associated with support are governed by separate, clearly communicated conditions if such benefits are offered.
- Payments made through external platforms are also subject to the terms of the relevant payment services.
- The Operator may introduce online advertising in the future, particularly advertising supplied by Google AdSense, to help fund the project's maintenance and development.
- Introducing advertising will not, in itself, create a mandatory charge for basic access to the Game.
- Cookies and other advertising technologies will be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable user consent requirements.
- The introduction of any paid services or products will require the relevant terms of use and payment to be presented in advance.
§11. External websites and services
- DartsCareer.pl may contain links to external websites and services, particularly Discord, X, TikTok, YouTube, Buy Me a Coffee and other parties associated with the project's operation.
- Use of external services is subject to their operators' terms and privacy policies.
- The Operator of DartsCareer.pl does not directly control the operation of external platforms.
- The official Discord community may have its own participation and moderation rules, separate from these Terms of Use.
- Breaching the rules of a particular external platform may lead to consequences under that platform's terms without automatically affecting access to the basic version of the Game.
§12. Liability and reporting problems
- The Operator endeavours to ensure that the Website operates correctly, is secure and allows users to access the features made available.
- Given the nature of software, bugs, performance problems, technical incompatibilities or unexpected simulation results may occur.
- Users may report bugs, suggest changes and raise technical problems through the project's official contact channels.
- The Operator does not guarantee the implementation of every requested feature or the immediate resolution of every reported bug.
- The Operator is not liable for events for which the Operator bears no liability under applicable law, particularly problems arising exclusively from the user's device or software or from independent external infrastructure.
- No provision of these Terms of Use excludes or limits rights granted to users by mandatory provisions of law, particularly applicable consumer protection provisions.
§13. Complaints and contact
- Complaints concerning the operation of the Website and services provided by electronic means may be sent to the following email address:
- A report should describe the problem and, where possible, provide information that allows it to be reproduced, particularly the browser, device, Game version and circumstances in which the error occurred.
- Users are not required to provide additional personal data that is unnecessary for handling the report.
- The Operator handles complaints without undue delay and aims to respond within 14 days of receipt, subject to the deadlines prescribed by the relevant provisions of law.
- If additional information is needed to clarify the problem, the Operator may ask the user to provide it voluntarily.
- The response will be sent to the email address from which the complaint was submitted unless the user specifies another appropriate means of contact.
- Submitting a complaint does not require any payment to the Operator.
- This complaints procedure does not restrict any rights or legal remedies available to users under applicable law.
§14. Privacy protection
- The rules governing personal data processing, cookies and other information storage technologies are set out in the separate DartsCareer.pl Privacy Policy.
- The Privacy Policy is available at:
- Use of the Game does not require a user account or the provision of personal data to create a profile.
- Users may manage the available privacy settings in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- Career data stored locally on the user's device is stored and handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
§15. Changes to these Terms of Use and final provisions
- The Operator may update these Terms of Use if the Game's features, the conditions under which it is provided, the technologies used or applicable law change.
- The current version of these Terms of Use is publicly available on the Website.
- The date of the last update is stated at the beginning of the document.
- Users will be informed of material changes affecting the rules for using the Website in a manner appropriate to the nature of the change and the service delivery model, in accordance with applicable law.
- Changes to these Terms of Use do not deprive users of acquired rights or entitlements granted by mandatory provisions of law.
- These Terms of Use are governed by Polish law, subject to provisions that afford users protection which cannot be excluded by agreement.
- Questions concerning these Terms of Use may be sent to the following email address:
